What Is a Pillar in the House of God?
A Pillar is more than someone who attends a Christian gathering.
A Pillar is a believer who has been progressively built and established in Christ and is able to stand firm, carry spiritual responsibility, strengthen others, and contribute meaningfully to God’s work.
We describe the formation of a Pillar through five marks:
- Regenerated — Made alive in Christ and brought into new life through the Gospel.
- Rooted — Established deeply in God’s Word, sound doctrine, and the life of Christ.
- Formed — Shaped into Christlikeness through discipleship, obedience, spiritual growth, and fellowship with God.
- Equipped — Prepared with biblical understanding, spiritual maturity, character, and practical capacity for service.
- Positioned — Placed and released to stand in one’s God-given assignment and contribute to the fulfillment of God’s purpose.
